Course Objective This course is designed to enable all who work within the care industry to understand the needs and challenges of day to day life for a person with sensory impairment.

Course content: The delegate will:

• Understand the different types of sensory loss
• Understand the possible impact on a person with sensory impairment
• Look at why/how communication is important. Different ways of communicating
• Have an insight into the causes and conditions of sensory loss
• See signs of sensory impairment
• How to act on signs and symptoms
• To provide support for the person

The course has both theory and practical aspects of the course
demonstrating the impact on a person with sensory loss impairment.

The course is four hours long refreshments and handout workbooks are provided.

This course can be delivered as in house training or at our teaching care centre in Wrexham.

Certificates will be issued on completion of the course.
